The street and the body, side by side
Each diptych sets the street beside the body. On one side, the world caught unawares; on the other, a body that knows it is being looked at. The same flash, the same hard black and white, the same chase. A rose answers a hip, a crumpled sheet answers skin, a dog bares its teeth while a woman’s hair lashes the air. Caught in the act: the viewer included.
